We had some special surprises this month starting with Italy going from 7,000 points last month, more than doubling the second place, tripling that to over 21,000 points, almost catching up with the UK!!!! The difference is that the UK maintains that level of distribution every month!! Here in Italy, we have always had a one-month marathon every summer like the Prabhupada marathon, and it went quite well. I suggest that the other yatras try it, you don’t have to fight the cold. Slovenia, under SK leader Mukunda Madhava prabhu, more than doubled their scores because they also have a sort of marathon every summer with their Padayatra program where the whole temple concentrates on going out on Harinam and book distribution.

The other strong yatras this month were Germany and Hungary with Hungary coming close to Germany. Hungary has only 2 yatras and Germany has 14 they just need to get all their temples absorbed in Srila Prabhupada’s book distribution mission and they could easily overcome everyone. The others Czech Rebulic, France, Ukraine, Belgium and Netherlands maintained their steady distribution.

Let’s give our full endeavor for the Bhadra campaign with only 1.5 months left . Miracles can happen if we really desire it and try our best. Everyone should be aware of their pledge and smash it!!!

This month I would like to refer to the Sri Caitanya Caritamrta Adi Lila Chapter 13 verse 67 “But Sri Advaita Acarya Prabhu felt pained to see all the people without Krsna consciousness simply merging in material sense enjoyment.” Purport: “A bonafide devortee of Lord Krsna is always pained to see the fallen condition of the whole world. Srila Bhaktisiddhanta Sarasvati Thakur used to say” There is no scarcity of anything within this world. The only scarcity is of Krsna consciousness.” That is the vision of all pure devotees. Because of this lack of Krsna consciousness in human society, people are suffering terribly, being merged in an ocean of nescience and sense gratification. A devotee onlooker is very much aggrieved to see such a situation in the world.”

A devotee genuinely feels the suffering of others and Srila Prabhupada has given us a concrete method for alleviating their suffering by distributing the transcendental knowledge in the form of his books. So the genuine devotees want to see this knowledge distributed.

Caitanya Caritamrta Adi Lila chapter 16 verse 19

“In this way Sri Caitanya Mahaprabhu contributed the greatest benefit to the people of East Bengal by initiating them into harinam, the chanting of the Hare Krsna maha-mantra, and making them learned scholars by educating them.”

Purport: “Following in the footsteps of Lord Caitanya Mahaprabhu, the Krsna consciousness movement is distributing the Hare Krsna maha-mantra and inducing people all over the world to chant. We are giving people an immense treasury of transcendental literature, translated into all the important languages of the world, and by the grace of Lord Caitanya Mahaprabhu this literature is selling profusely, and people are chanting the Hare Krsna maha-mantra with great delight. This is the preaching process of the Caitanya cult. Since the Lord wanted this cult preached all over the world, the International Society for Krsna Consciousness is acting in a humble way so that the vision of Sri Caitanya Mahaprabhu may be fulfilled all over the world, especially in the Western countries.” So, we have a great mission to accomplish in distributing these books profusely to save the world from a destructive course and thus please Srila Prabhupada who just wants to see the whole world happy.

I'd like to share this story. Today I had the day off... I was going out for sankirtan, I got a phone call (a sankirtan contact) asking me what you're doing today, I said I'm going out for sankirtan, he said, come on the boat with me... I wasn't interested in going on the boat... and I told him I had to distribute the books. At that point he said to me; come on the boat with me, I'll get you all the books you have, obviously I said yes... I gave 38 maha... Hare Krishna.
