Please accept my humble obeisances. All glories to Srila Prabhupada.

After an amazing Prabhupada Marathon and the final push for the Live to Give campaign naturally everyone is a little tired and has to catch up on the things left behind during the marathon. So, it is expected that there be a little slow down in the book distribution. The important thing is to keep our focus, concentration, and dedication on distributing Srila Prabhupada’s books, then everything will increase naturally.

Srila Prabhupada said that the best preaching is book distribution so we can see book distribution as the greatest welfare for everyone and the highst preaching and high sadhana. Our mood should be Audarya compassion for the conditioned soul as we distribute books. Srila Prabhupada said in this regard in the Caitanya Caritamrta Madhya lila chap.20 purport of verse 6.

“The greatest service one can render to the Lord is to try to infuse devotional service into the heart of the conditioned souls so that the conditioned soul may be released from conditioned life. Srila Bhaktivinode Thakur has said that a Vaisnava is recognized by his preaching work-that is, by convincing the conditioned soul about his eternal position, which is explained here as nija-dharma. It is the living entitiy’s eternal position to serve the Lord; therefore, to help one get release from material bondage is to awaken one to the dormant understanding that he is the eternal servant of Krsna. Jivera svarupa haya krsnera nitya dasa.” There is no better way to “infuse devotional service into the heart of the conditioned souls” than to give them Srila Prabhupada’s books, the words of Krsna and his pure devotee Srila Prabhupada.

Then Srila Prabhupada says again in the Caitanya Caritamrta Madhya lila chap. 19 purport of verse 114 “One cannot spread the holy name of Krsna without being specifically empowered by Lord Krsna. A devotee who receives this power from the Lord must be considered very fortunate. The Krsna consciousness movement is spreading to enlighten people about their real position, their original relationship with Krsna.One requires Krsna’s special power in order to be able to do this. People forget their relationship with Krsna and work under the spell of maya life after life, transmigrating from one body to another. This is the process of material existence. The Supreme Lord Sri Krsna personally descends to teach people that their position in the material world is a mistaken one. The Lord again comes as Sri Caitanya Mahaprabhu to induce people to take to Krsna consciousness. The Lord also empowers a special devotee to teach people their constitutional position.” Srila Prabhupada is obviously refering to himself and he also said that he is present in his books. So, we have the great fortune to be instruments in continuing to spread the mercy of the empowered pure devotee by distributing Srila Prabhupada’s books for our whole life. Srila Prabhupada kijaya!!

Sankirtan Meeting

Hare Krsna We have the great fortune to have His Holiness Jananandana Maharaja with us again for our Sankirtan meeting. He is an ocean of enthusiasm for the distribution of Srila Prabhupada’s books and will inspire all of us for this new year. So please join in and become enthused to go on increasing the distribution of Srila Prabhupada’s books unlimitedly. The meeting will take place on Saturday March 2nd at 10:00 CET 9:00 UK time. I will send the link to everyone a few days before the meeting.

We are very inspired to see again this month the Ukraine yatra in full swing distributing Srila Prabhupada’s books even under extremely difficult circumstances. Nothing can stop Lord Caitanya’s Sankirtan movement!!!

This lady said Haribol when I stopped her in Bergen, and after talking with her, we found out that her name was in the book I was holding in my hand. She translated it 40 years ago! Perfection of yoga in Norwegian. I met her just 30 meters from our temple, and she did not know that the temple was there. I invited her in and she cried seeing the deities, Sri Sri Gaura Nitai. She was remembering the pleasing time with the nice devotees in this city in the 80-ties. She ate sumptuous prasad and left very happily. I will contact her and see if she is willing to take up some translation work again. We are working on translating the Krishnabook.
