Please accept my humble obeisances. All glories to Srila Prabhupada.

The distribution of Srila Prabhupada’s books is going steadily in Europe, but we can definitely improve. Of course, the amazing effort and the book scores of the devotees in Ukraine is always the most inspiring and shows us that there are no obstacles that can stop the distribution of Srila Prabhupada’s books.

After the "Be a Gardener" campaign for the distribution of the Caitanya Caritamrta wraps up on Gaura purnima we will start the "Bhadra campaign", the distribution of the Srimad Bhagawatam set. Srila Prabhupada started this movement with the Srimad Bhagawatam and it will continue to grow if we make it the guiding light of our life.

Srila Prabhupada arrived in the west and his only possession was the first canto of the Srimad Bhagawatam which he had translated and published with great hardship and difficulty. He wrote them just for us and to save a “misdirected civilization” so our duty to Srila Prabhupada is to make these books our life and soul. He wrote a very special purport in the Caitanya Caritamrta in this regard CC Madhya chapter 25 verse 278 “Men become strong and stout by eating sufficient grains, but the devotee who simply eats ordinary grains but does not taste the transcendental pastimes of Lord Caitanya Mahaprabhu and Krsna gradually becomes weak and falls down from the transcendental position. However, if one drinks but a drop of the nectar of Krsna’s pastimes, his body and mind begin to bloom, and he begins to laugh, sing and dance. Purport: All the devotees connected with the Krsna consciousness movement must read all the books that have been translated (the Caitanya Caritamrta, Srimad Bhagawatam, Bhagavad Gita and others); otherwise, after some time, they will simply eat, sleep and fall down from their position. Thus, they will miss the opportunity to attain an eternal, blissful life of transcendental pleasure”. So, the only real and lasting inspiration for distributing Srila Prabhupada’s books is to read them everyday realizing that they are speaking to us and guiding us back to home back to Godhead, and they will do the same for anyone who reads them.

Another verse from the Srimad Bhagawatam that inspired me is from the 4th canto chapter 31 verse 19.

“By showing mercy to all living entities, being satisfied somehow or other and controlling the senses from sense enjoyment, one can very quickly satisfy the Supreme Personality of Godhead, Janardana. Purport: These are some of the ways in which the Supreme Personality of Godhead can be satisfied by the devotee.The first item mentioned is dayaya sarva-bhutesu, showing mercy to all conditioned souls. The best way to show mercy is to spread Krsna consciousness. The entire world is suffering for want of this knowledge. People should know that the Supreme Personality of Godhead is the original cause of everything. Knowing this, everyone should directly engage in His devotional service. Those who are actually learned, advanced in spiritual understanding, should preach Krsna consciousness all over the world so that people may take to it and make their lives successful.”

This is the unlimited compassion of Srila Prabhupada which he put in a concrete form as his transcendental books.

He is giving us all an opportunity to render the highest service and show the greatest compassion simply by distributing those books.

Belgium - Radhadesh

We went to the University aerea in Gent. This boy remembered chanting Hare Krsna in our temple in Radhadesh. He happely took the Science of selfrealisation, he was very interested in Spirituality. He directly started chanting the Hare Krsna mantra when I showed him the Maha mantra cart. He remembered the interesting visit to our castle 9 years ago when he had chanted in front of our Deities in the temple. After he walked away, he turned again back and thanked me for the nice conversation. Please pray for him that he can come again to Radhadesh.

Italy - Torino #1

In the evening, I entered an educational and spiritual center called Durga. A girl let me in and sits me down on a sofa, asking me to wait a bit while she finishes her meditation. After a few minutes, she comes back and we start talking. She is very attracted and curious, and at a certain point, almost as if she was waiting impatiently, she asks to see the books I was carrying in my hand. She chooses the Bhagavad Gita and two other books, and seems very satisfied. We talk a little more and before saying goodbye she tells me: “This early afternoon I was watching a series on Netflix, where there was an episode of a man who was searching for himself and started a tour of various religious places. Among the various encounters he had, one was with a group of Krishna devotees who were dancing, and he even started dancing with them!” The girl thought: “It’s been a while since I’ve met any Hare Krishnas,” and after a few hours, a Hare Krishna shows up at her door!

Italia - Torino #2

At the end of the day I was going back to take the Metro and on the way, I passed by a mountain clothing store where I had already been in the morning and where I had been treated with indifference by two girls. This time it was just to see some sandals to buy. A man welcomes me and, in response to my request, goes to look for some sandals but without success. Before leaving he asks me: "Are you a Hare Krishna?" I answer yes.

He tells me: "I have read the entire Bhagavad Gita by Srila Prabhupada. His comments are very clear and complete, he is truly an exceptional man!" And practically without hesitation he agreed to take the biography of Srila Prabhupada!

I would never have gone back into this store but Krishna led me there to listen to one of the most beautiful comments I have ever heard during the distribution of books on Srila Prabhupada! Jay Prabhupada

Meet Bhaktin Esther! She was sitting on a bench by the port of Alicante, trying her best to enjoy the view. However, she had come to Alicante to see a psychologist. She told me, “It’s because I feel out of place… I don’t like watching TV or going to parties. I love my family but it’s not the real world…” She shared her curiosity and interest in spiritual knowledge. She knew that this meeting was not by chance. So, she took as many books as she could. Finally, she expressed her desire to disconnect from society. I gladly told her that we could organize a retreat in New Vrajamandala. She is a genuine soul seeking Krishna. Therefore, Krishna is revealing himself to her in the form of Prabhupada’s books. Haram sankirtan ki jaya!
